Hope has been interested in the intersection of body, mind, and spirit for most of her life. Trained in classical ballet, she studied religion and psychology in college and practiced Zen Buddhism for eleven years. Through Zen she discovered yoga as an alternative tool for self-inquiry, and fell in love with the practice. She is a graduate of Jaya Yoga’s 200 hour teacher training program and has completed additional training at Laughing Lotus.
Hope’s classes include meditation, hands-on assists, a challenge pose (or two), and gorgeous music. As a teacher, she wishes to help students understand themselves on a deeper level and grow into the best possible version of themselves - courageous, spacious, and kind.
Where can you find Hope when she’s not at the studio? Reading, writing, cooking, dozing off with her cats, playing Skip-bo with her wife, solving Sudoku puzzles, and shopping at the Park Slope Food Co-op. She would like to thank Carla and Ramit for building such a devoted and caring community and is honored to be a part of such an outstanding team.
